A Storm is Brewing….

A quick update on what to expect in the next few months.

I’m Baaaaaaaack!

Let’s just get this out of the way up front: I’ve been off the grid for the last several months. Things have been crazy in camp Blackaby. Considering my last update on this page was in MARCH (!!!), I thought it was probably time to check in again! Lots of exciting announcements and reveals are coming your way soon but, for now, here’s just a few quick updates.

The Student Life: The main reason for me being MIA recently is that my time and energy has been consumed by my studies. As many of you know, when I’m not working on creative writing I’m slogging toward a Ph.D. The last few months have been a time of transition as I finished my final coursework, took (and passed!) my final exams, and started work on my dissertation. So, with that excuse out of the way, here are a few things to look forward to…

The Painter’s Portal: Yes…this book is going to be released. The process has taken me several years (!) longer than I had planned. But at long last, there is light at the end of the tunnel. The book should be released at least by the end of August, and probably earlier. So stay tuned for many more announcements in the very near future.

Creative Mystery Project: I have another creative endeavor in the works which I’ll be sharing soon. It’s not a new book, but its something I’m really excited about and I think you guys will enjoy it too. It’s next on my list after The Painter’s Portal, so I’ll be sharing more details soon.

Website: This page will be getting an overhaul soonish. I’m aiming to restructure this website to allow for more interaction and more frequent posts/book reviews/blogs by me on various subjects related to fantasy, pop-culture, and the arts etc. The website redesign is connected to the mystery project above, so will probably happen once PP is released.

Other Books/Projects: This year has not been very productive for me as far as writing goes. I have so many writing projects in various stages of completion, but many of them have been on-hold while I take care of more pressing things. However, my hope is to have several of them finished by mid-2018, and perhaps even before the end of this year if all goes well. So stay tuned.

As always, thanks for your continual support! I’m coming up on some significant book-sales milestones and appreciate all of you who have contributed to those numbers! It blows my mind when I hear from people who are still discovering and enjoying my books. As a kid, my goal was to maybe write a book by the time I turned 30. To have just turned 30 in March and to have been blessed with the chance to write as many books as I have and to connect with as many amazing readers is something I don’t take for granted. Thanks guys! Can’t wait for all thats coming next in this adventure.
